New free users are eligible for a 7-day premium trial. The trial requires a payment method on file and auto converts into a subscription if not cancelled within the trial period. The 7 day premium trial gives you full subscriber perks to Kindroid, including unlimited V6 access, multiple Kindroids and groupchat, more selfies, custom voices, and more. The trial is accessible on iOS, Android, and web - however, for web we require a verified mobile phone number to prevent trial abuse (you can subscribe without trial if you don't wish to verify the phone number).

We've created Ultra and MAX subscription tiers to give you access to higher memory capacity with Kindroid. With our standard subscription, we limit certain features (especially context) to keep our service cost-sustainable for all users. These premium tiers make expanded capabilities available to those willing to pay high costs for enhanced performance. Despite their much higher price points, these tiers are designed to simply cover our costs for dedicated servers rather than generate profit - as serving high context is directly driven by costs. In fact, we expect to break even and potentially lose money even at these rates.
Each tier is a separate monthly add-on subscription that builds upon previous levels (add-ons do not have 3-month or yearly plans). This means:
- Ultra requires the standard subscription
- MAX requires both standard and Ultra subscriptions
If you cancel a lower tier, your service automatically drops. For example, if you were on MAX, and you cancel Ultra, you would still be paying for MAX but service level would be Ultra. You will get a yellow icon next to billing alerting you of this issue. Ultra costs $24.99/month on top of your base subscription, while MAX costs an additional $59.99/month (meaning you'd pay for standard + Ultra + MAX).
To purchase these add-ons, visit the billing menu. You'll need to be an active Kindroid user with significant interaction history through chatting and calling mainly to unlock these options. We limit access to users who thoroughly understand Kindroid's benefits and limitations before considering these added tiers, which also helps us maintain quick response times across all tiers and gives us more control and predictability over demand to avoid traffic spikes.
Rest assured, introducing these tiers doesn't mean we're downgrading the standard subscription. The higher pricing directly reflects our actual costs for providing these memory-intensive services. As memory technology becomes more affordable, we'll increase memory across all tiers proportionally, with all subscribers benefiting from these improvements. We're committed to making every subscription level a great experience, reserving these premium tiers only for resource-intensive capabilities that genuinely require additional funding to support.

Note: All chat context/cascaded and selfies improvements of add-ons will only be applicable to the latest subscriber LLM (currently V6, both Classic and Enhanced) and selfies (currently V5). When new versions come out, it will switch to new versions. Legacy versions will not have added benefits of higher context/higher limits applied due to compute constraints needed to serve them. Finally, "additional context" in the matrix is an additional field, identical to Backstory, that is unlocked on the higher tiers which you can use to extend backstory accordingly.
You can pay via web or iOS/Android app. You can pay on any platform of your choice, but be mindful of limitations on switching plans below. The subscription status is linked to your login account shown by the email on the top of the settings menu, not the device you subscribed on, so you are able to login on any device, operating system, or browser. Prices are slightly lower for web due to lower processing fees compared to app stores, and we recommend subscribing on web for maximum flexibility.
Please ensure your payment method is updated at all times. If your subscription ends due to an error on your end, such as forgetting to update the address after a move, we will not be able to reinstate the same subscription. You will need to purchase a new one at the current rate.
Note: We currently do not accept gift card payments through direct pay on the web.
Payments are managed through the web by clicking on "Billing" in menu. We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, and many other payment options (most available through the web payment portal). Prepaid cards should be added on Paypal and used through there.
Payment sources are different based on the app store you are purchasing it through. Payments are managed directly through the app store from which you purchased your subscription.
You can upgrade/downgrade on monthly, 3 month, or yearly plans on web (immediate, prorated charge) or iOS (new billing interval at the next billing date) easily, but on Android you cannot and have to wait for the subscription to run out before resubscribing at the desired billing interval. You CANNOT switch between iOS, Android, or web subscriptions to another platform until your current subscription runs out and you resubscribe. If you are on a legacy early adopter subscription, you will not be able to switch to another subscription interval without losing your discounted rate.
If you subscribed on the web, you can update/cancel your subscription on the web platform by clicking on Billing from settings.

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. While we generally do not offer refunds and all sales are final, we reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion. We also reserve the right to permanently ban users who dispute charges.
